It's a little cool in the mornings here in Georgia, which means my neighbors are setting up their annual pirate spook tour while everyone else thinks about apples and pumpkins. At least that's what I think about. I love a mug of hot chocolate in the mornings, but my cocoa addiction wreaks havoc on my ulcers making it necessary to find other yummy warm beverages. Recently, I had a dairy-free Vanilla Steamer from Starbucks and really enjoyed it--enough to make my own. I love this quick recipe for hot cinnamon milk and have already indulged although it's not quite autumn weather yet. Give it a try when you need to skip the chocolate and extra calories.
Hot Cinnamon Milk
1 cup of almond milk
1 packet of sweetener (or 1 teaspoon of sugar)
Pinch of cinnamon
½ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
