From Knights to Superheroes
Historical author, Nicole Zoltack (Woman of Honor, Knights of Glory, etc.), has switched gears this fall releasing her first book in a series of superheroes and villains. Black Hellebore has an edgy DC Comics feel with hero, Nicholas Adams, returning home to find his dead girlfriend's twin the new deputy in town. There's a heart wrenching back story intertwined with this lost boy's human turned super hero journey, and the bad guys are as nasty as they come. If you enjoy new Young Adult trends or like a dark Metropolis feel to your modern reads, you may get hooked on this new series.

From Once a year for the past decade, Nicholas Adams returns to Falledge and leaves a black hellebore on his girlfriend's grave. While fleeing Falledge, he spies a shady man sneaking into the laboratory. Nicholas chases after him and dies for his trouble. A witch brings him back to life, only Nicholas is not the same man...

Taco Soup Quick Fix

It's mid-autumn 'round these Georgia parts and time to get out the soup pots. This fast and easy Taco Soup recipe can be made in the Crockpot or on the stove. It's one of our family favorites. Enjoy!

Taco Soup

1 lb ground turkey
1 small onion, diced, or 1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 can of Rotel
1 can of corn
1 can of red beans
1 can of black beans
1 cup of chicken stock
1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix
Optional: One handful of chopped cilantro

Sautee onions with turkey until meat is brown and onions are soft. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with cheese, plain yogurt (or sour cream), tortilla chips and avocado. For Crockpot, add cooked turkey and onions, and the remaining ingredients to a Crockpot. Heat on low for 3 hours.
