Recipe of the Month:
Apple Cocoa

This wonderful cold weather cocoa recipe is a healthy version of traditional cocoa, and it tastes wonderful. It's my go-to beverage for chilly mornings when I need to wake up and get busy, and also a tasty after dinner drink that fills in as dessert. If you don't have a powerful smoothie blender, I suggest peeling your apple and running the blender about 4 to 5 minutes for a truly smooth beverage.

Apple Cocoa

1 cup of almond milk
2 tablespoons of dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon of cocoa
1/2 red apple; seeded
1/4 teaspoon of pure vanilla
Dash of cinnamon

Peel apple if using a regular blender, or leave skin on for a power blender/juicer. Blend all ingredients until smooth. Heat in a saucepan until hot, stirring occasionally or microwave one minute.
