New Harlequin Release (and poison ivy. Again!)

"
I believe that appreciation is a holy thing--that when we look for what's best in a person we happen to be with at the moment, we're doing what God does all the time. So in loving and appreciating our neighbor, we're participating in something sacred.  (Mr. Rogers)

Hey Ya'll,

Isn't it awesome summer is here at last? Awesome except for mosquitoes and poison ivy (Yes, I caught poison ivy AGAIN!) around these parts, but the flowers are blooming, the blueberries are coming in, and many of the lakes and beaches are now open as the nation work its way through the pandemic recovery. I hope you're able to make some fun and memorable summer plans with friends and family soon, and that you are healthy and safe.

Home renovations are in full swing here at our place. Rob has almost finished rebuilding our 25-year-old deck, and it looks great. Believe it or not, I'm still working on painting kitchen cabinets, but I'm getting there slowly and surely. It seems like the to-do list is never ending, but I keep reminding myself that time will pass anyway, so why stress?

His Daughter's Prayer with Harlequin is now available! It was super exciting to watch it publish at the Harlequin website on June 1st. Today, it is available at other retailers like Target, Walmart, you name it. I'm super grateful for the opportunity to work with them and see my books go international. I'll send the Amazon and B&N links out on July 1st as soon as they're live.

A pirate romance and an inspirational set in North Carolina are my new projects. I'm currently working on the next book in my Gentlemen of the Coast series titled, A Buccaneer's Deal. It's set in Spanish Florida, so there's a lot of research going on right now. I'll share the beautiful cover next month. Also in the works are edits on my next Harlequin book.

Ta-Ta for Now

If you've reached the bottom of this email, thank you so much for checking in with me this month! It has been a crazy year with my first Harlequin release and record sales this past spring on indie books. Mingled with the stress of the current political climate of our country and family wins and losses, it's been an emotional roller coaster, but I'm thankful for my faith and knowledge of a Heavenly Father who love us and is truly the one in control.

I wish you love, understanding, and peace.

And happy reading time!

Danielle Thorne
